Cyclist injured in hit and run incident on Collingwood and Hardy Street intersection
<div id="title">Nelson Police are seeking information from the public about an incident in which a cyclist was knocked off his bike in the city on Mother&rsquo;s day.</div> <p><span id="article"></p> <p> The 14 year-old road cyclist was waiting at the traffic lights on Collingwood Street, on the intersection of Hardy Street, about 3.15pm on Sunday. He was heading up Collingwood Street.</p> <p> When the lights turned green he started riding forward but was hit from behind by a vehicle and knocked to the ground. The vehicle didn&rsquo;t stop.</p> <p> The victim suffered facial injuries, including damage to his teeth and was taken to hospital by ambulance. His bike was written off in the incident.</p> <p> A number of people were in the area at the time and came to the boy&rsquo;s aid. The boy was wearing distinctive Stoke Cycles clothing.</p> <p> Police would like to hear from those people or anyone else who witnessed the incident.</p> <p></span></p>
